Aims and Scope

The Journal of Technology, Engineering, and STEM Education (JTESE) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality research articles, reviews, and innovations in the fields of technology, engineering, and STEM education. The journal aims to promote interdisciplinary research and the integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in educational practices.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Artificial Intelligence in Education 

  • Technology-Enhanced Learning 

  • Engineering Education 

  • STEM Curriculum and Instruction 

  • Digital and Smart Learning Environments 

  • Educational Data Science and Learning Analytics 

  • Virtual and Remote Laboratories 

  • Innovative Teaching and Learning Strategies in STEM 

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, academics, and practitioners worldwide.

 

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JTESE undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers.

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editorial decision will be one of the following:

  • Accept 

  • Minor Revision 

  • Major Revision 

  • Reject 

The final decision is made by the Editor in Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations.

 

Publication Ethics

JTESE adheres to the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity in publication.

Key ethical principles include:

  • Originality and Plagiarism: All manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism. 

  • Duplicate Submission: Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere. 

  • Data Integrity: Authors must present accurate and reliable data. 

  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions. 

  • Citation Integrity: Citations must be relevant and not manipulated. 

Cases of ethical misconduct may result in rejection, correction, or retraction of the article.

 

Open Access Policy

JTESE provides immediate open access to its content, ensuring that all published articles are freely available without subscription or payment.

This journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly credited.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

JTESE does not charge any fees for submission, processing, or publication. All articles are published free of charge.

 

Publication Frequency

This journal is published twice a year (February and November).

 

Language

Manuscripts must be written in English.

 

Indexing and Abstracting

The journal is in the process of being indexed in national and international databases such as:

  • Google Scholar 

  • Garuda 

  • DOAJ (planned) 

 

Author Guidelines

Authors must follow the journal template and submission guidelines. Manuscripts should include:

  • Title (maximum 14 words) 

  • Abstract (200–250 words, without citations) 

  • Keywords (minimum 5 keywords) 

  • Introduction 

  • Literature Review 

  • Methods 

  • Results 

  • Discussion 

  • Conclusion 

  • References (APA style, minimum 15 sources) 

 

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high similarity index will be rejected.

Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing in JTESE, authors grant the journal the right of first publication. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
